Something’s Right Here
Where the hell did my week go? There was a time, not so very long ago, when the week would crawl by as slowly as a tortoise. The denizens of fabric cover boxes, deep in the heart of cubeland, would wail in despair and end the week on Friday with a mournful TGIF. But something is incredibly wrong here, but in an incredibly right way.
…get rid of the superfluous stressful pieces…
It seems that I’ve actually enjoyed myself. I enjoyed working. I enjoyed finding new clients. I liked going shopping. I had time to have diner out with my wife. I woke up rested and happy. I didn’t feel stressed. I actually didn’t mind going to a fabric store.
Time passed quickly, this week and as I look back I can’t believe how productive I was and that I’ve still got some energy left for the weekend. Perhaps when we slow down and take stock of our lives, and get rid of the superfluous stressful pieces of it, we find that we can actually have some peace of mind after all.
