It’s a Brand New Day
Today, for better or worse, is my day. For these brief minutes of sunshine, I am at no one’s beck and call.The phone will not ring off the hook. I will not be asked to do something for “political” reasons, that I consider to be stupid and shortsighted. I don’t have to explain anything.
…beholden to none…
It’s a weird sense of wonder and anticipation with a pinch of fear and caution. I finally put my money, literally, where my mouth is and here I am, beholden to none, blogging to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. The future feels good and so do I. My only pressing decision today is to find some coble stones to kick down, because I’m “Looking for fun and feelin’ groovy.”
